Abdelrahman Hussein

Hi there! My name is Abdelrahman, and I am currently a student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs at the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University. I have always had a passion for writing and enjoy exploring various topics such as philosophy, politics, religion, culture, and social issues. I also enjoy writing poetry as a form of self-expression. I have experience working in various fields, including as a Campaign Field Manager and Administrative Manager at US-PIRG, where I co-organized and supervised a campaign to reduce single-use plastic packaging in the Washington, DC, region. I also worked as a Covid-19 Technician and Receptionist at Sheefa Pharmacy, where I managed Covid-19 testing and vaccine registration. In addition to my work experience, I am actively involved in leadership and community service. I am a member of the Leadership, Ethics, and Practice Initiative Student Advisory Council at the Elliott School of International Affairs, where I serve as the Religious Tolerance and Influence Subcommittee and Co-Chair of the Human Rights and Social Justice Subcommittee. I am also the founder and president of WorldDaily DIGEST, a non-profit humanitarian outreach project for high-school students. I have also had various internships and research experiences, including data research and bank funding organizer at an internship and researching the influence of technology on modern warfare in the i-STEM Scholars Summer Research Program 2021. I enjoy volunteering at my local Islamic Center, practicing art, traveling, and cliff-jumping in my free time. I am also fluent in Arabic.
