Many people from all over the U.S. gathered near Columbus Circle at Union Station to march to the US Capitol to take back their democracy. Democracy Spring has organized \”Sit in with Thousands. Save Democracy for Millions.\” This nonviolent action will last until April 18 with yesterday\’s sit-in arrest reaching over 400. Those arrest on yesterday did not stop the sit-ins. In fact, the Elders were back on today with their Dream Walk Dr. Scholl\’s support sole cushions ready to march on down, pass the Russell Building onto the U.S. Capitol platform. Those Elders didn\’t miss a beat marching down those streets. They chanted along although not all chants were on one accord; their mission was with immediate action to end the corruption of big money in politics and ensure free and fair elections in which every American has an equal voice.
Democracy Spring has also proposed a reform bill which requests the Government by the People Act & Fair Elections now Act; the Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2015 & Voter Empowerment Act of 2015; and the Democracy for All Amendment.
