Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle of interest in reference to a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, October 19, 2019, in the 2400 block of Hartford Street, Northeast.
At approximately 12:26 pm, members of the Seventh District heard the sounds of gunshots at the listed location and responded to the area. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 30 year-old Christopher Parks, of Hyattsville, MD.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
